"This theme will not look as intended because the required GTK+ theme engine 'pixmap' is not installed."

After installing your theme, I get this message.

Looking at the xorg-xsession-log, I see similar error messages related to pixmap.

I'm using an updated LinuxMint9.

Any clues? - Sep 22 2010

I understand. It's just that it looks like the reset button really resets "everything"; while I was just expecting some reset within the theme.

Als reinstalling did not remove the dark/white withing Tomboy, Thunderbird. But I cannot confirm this is due to Elegant Gnome. I'll try and see if I can come up with something more. - Sep 20 2010

Sorry, but in about 2 clicks the update seems to have ruined my desktop experience.

After updating (using ubuntu-ppa on LinuxMint 9) I noticed dark/white "bands" in several apps like Thunderbird, making reading mail difficult.

I tried to find how that happened, tried some changes using "Appearance" but could not get rid of it.

Started Elegant Gnome app and clicked Reinstall previous settings.

So no I'm without Compiz, no more panels, etc.

I understand I would have to redo some changes I made to Elegant Gnome's settings, but this is a bit "drastic". - Sep 20 2010
