Kick ass concept.
The perspective that tux is put on there is a bit off. Use The GIMP to change perspective of the layer or selection (Shift + P).

Might do the trick. :-)

Handwritten icon theme

Icon Sub-Sets by admrl 18 comments

I think this icon idea has potential. It needs a lot of work still, and would definitely take a fair amount time. Best idea I found is to use The GIMP and then resize your icons to the common size (168, 124, 64 and so on...).

When the time comes (whenever that shall be) I'd be happy to make a promotional picture/banner to use on, well whatever, giving people an idea what this theme actually is.

Cheers and keep at it.

Get into "edit", to the right of the "downloads" link that is currently empty, and let that page load. Now just click that little button beside the text box, just past the first few entry boxes. Locate your file and click attach. Should do the trick. :-)

Cheers.

And secondly, what window dec. are you using? An IceWM theme perhaps?

AmaroK splash v1.4

KDE 3.x Splash Screens by mokuias 11 comments

Okay what I did was upload the The GIMP file - the XCF file. Grab The GIMP, open that, pull up the layers window (CTRL + L) and just click the "eye" button to make a layer go invisible. Find the "1.4" layer, and change it. Now save it as another copy, best into PNG.

I did this to allow everyone to tamper with this to their hearts content, under the minimal restrictions of the GPL.

Have a good one and best wishes,

You need to fix the edges of the KDE logo - but also be aware, that the KDE logo has changed a bit, it's the big blue one now. ;-)

Concept is very nice though.

The request asked for a 1.4; unless I was dreaming at the time, or something along those lines...

Actually, considering I was chatting, doing 5 pages of English homework and watching a movie; the chances are that I missed something or misread a line or three. I'll check it with the Amarok devs as soon as I can.

If this well done theme gets 1245 + downloads, and some of you rate it bad - please at least tell the author why you rated it as such!

It is frustrating without feedback. If one rates it bad, then inform the author why, with perhaps tips helping him or her on how to improve.

Just a little rant.

The window decoration is part of Creamy-Human Collection. It's an IceWM theme, just look at the list of downloads - it's one or two the bottom of that list (in this content upload) of downloads - you must've just missed it. ;-)

You've got mavvert to thank for the porting of that theme (from GTK 2.0 to IceWM). :-)

I could probably make a similar high reso one for those of your running bigger screens and monitors. I realise that Plume ended up being smaller in resolution than Creamy-Human v2.

Hey, since you were the original porter of the Clearbox GTK theme, into IceWM, interested in joining this little collection and working to make a few more goodies? I'd certainly be honoured to work together. :-)

But the original was not released under the GPL, so your version is a breach of copyright.

I know it sounds absurd and is quite annoying for all of us, but that's the fact.
