Hi,

I have a (probably stupid) question about using the -d and -o flags.

I am running the command below (using PHP) which works great except that the output files retain their file extensions.

Meaning if there is 'file.flac' in the $_src_files directory it is output as 'file.flac' in the $_dist_files directory. I thought the file extention might automatically be changed...

Is this assumption incorrect?

pacpl --ct mp3 -d ' . $_src_files . ' -o ' . $_dist_files

Amarok 1.x Scripts by attendant 126 comments

Hi,

I'm not sure I get you.

I typed in "which /usr/bin/oggenc" etc. into a console and it returned "/usr/bin/oggenc" with no error 0 or anything out of the ordinary that I noticed.

Maybe because I'm using amarok 1.38?

Thanks - Jan 30 2006

Hi,

Now I have a problem. When I create a profile ie) ogg - high I get "Encoding type is not supported". I have oggenc and oggdec installed as well as lame and some of the other codecs but I get the message above when trying to create a profile for any codec and the option for the profile is not added to the amarok playlist menu.

Thanks! - Jan 25 2006

This plugin rules! I'm wondering if you have considered adding a normalize component to it? I have been using gnormalize ( http://gnormalize.sourceforge.net/ ) to acomplish what your plugin does (without the normalize part). Gnormalize is great but the amarok interface is obviously a zillion times better.

Excellent plugin!

It would be neat if it could somehow pass the files through normalize ( http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/~cvaill/normalize/ ) as well. - Jan 24 2006
