Here's how to fix: go to your home directory (/home/name) and find the hidden dir of .kde/share/apps/ksplash/themes. You'll find that SG Quinne was installed in the root of this directory instead of createing a dir of "SG Quinne" during the untar. To fix the issue, I created an SG Quinne Dir, moved all of the Quinne files over to it, and presto, now I can feast my eyes for a couple of days and then make a switch to another theme. I also decided to resize the splash_bottom.png image to the correct value of 400x20 pixels using Gimp (open in gimp, Image>Scale Image> resize and save - break the link in the scaler to do so.). - Feb 03 2005
