A really nice splash screen was the last missing item for my green themed KDE desktop. - Aug 17 2004

Oh well, I'm approaching 50 and my eyesight is probably to blame ;)

Maybe it would also be a good idea to include missing action actions from the Sky set until more native Lush action icons are ready for the world? The reason is that I think the Lush icons blend nicely with the Sky set, but they sort of "crash" with Crystal svg which is most people's default fallback set.
Just some thoughts. - May 26 2003

Perhaps you could include those in Lush yourself until you get around to a more or less "complete" icon set?
Great work! - May 17 2003

You must be kidding. I always replace blue default folders with some other colour - in this respect Dave's Flush and Desktop icon sets are the exceptions so far.
I suppose it takes all kinds of people to make up a world :). - Mar 27 2003

Please give us more :)

So I'm back to the Sky icon set, although I grabbed the orange folder from this icon set as my "default" folder icon - looks quite nice with my colour scheme ;).
I guess this is the beauty of the KDE icon system. You can choose the best parts from everywhere.

However, I believe Dave has threathened to upload the installable icon set "very soon", so maybe you should wait for that.

And I hope you plan to keep your toolbar icons in the clean and simple "sky" tradition :). In my opinion a major problem with many icon sets is "over-designed" action icons which clutter up the tool bar completely.
Cheers

P.S. I didn't like the new kmail icon very much (perhaps because of my colour scheme) and I lifted the wonderful yellow folders from your "Desktop Icons" as usual but that's just me :):).

Pretty and functional at the same time, i.e. not "overdesigned" as most icon themes.
I will not download another icon theme again (except for your updates of course).

Congrats with you iconset, it keeps getting better every day and I use them exclusively on my home and work PC.
I downloaded the "microsoft extension for crystal", i.e. a Word, Excel and Powerpoint icon, and they look fine. In fact, one of the best things with your icons is that they do not really crash with other major icon themes (except Aquafusion of course ... shudder) - they go quite well together with most KDE standard icons and Crystal icons.
Still, I wonder if you would consider designing Word, PowerPoint and Excel icons with a 100 % sky look - if and when you feel like it of course.
Unfortunately, some of us still have to keep tons of documents in these formats around on the hard drive :).
Ciao

P.S. For Aquafusion fans: The above shudder is a very "personal taste reaction". The icons are real pieces of art and very good work - It's just that I personally find them too overwhelming for an icon theme :). - Oct 24 2002

I think your icon theme improves for every release, so for the time being I think I'll just copy your old folder icons into your new releases.
Don't get me wrong, your new folder icons are great. I just happened to fall deeply in love with the old ones :).
Ciao

However, my very personal opinion is that your old folder icons are nicer than the new ones. Don't get me wrong - your new folders are great too, but I think they somehow lack the originality of the old folder icons.
As you provide the old folder icons in the tarball it's not a problem to revert to them manually. However, this involves some effort on the part of the user and quite a few people would not even be aware of the possibility. So could it perhaps be an idea to submit two tarballs for your next release - Dave's classic and Daves modern?
Just a thought, and keep up your good work.

I do somewhat agree about the exec icon though, I get the feeling that it is too "heavy"?
Still, I don't think I will look for kde icons anywhere else for quite some time :)
