Reactionary doesn't set the icon theme but Breeze icons follow colorscheme (setting white on white for example) so perhaps you could try setting a different icon theme. If that doesn't work can you post a screenshot for me to look at. - Jan 27 2020

I've hacked Breeze GTK a couple of times for other themes - pretty straight forward just copy the colors in the colorscheme to the GTKRC and it generally works. Let me know how you get on. Thanks for the vote. - Sep 23 2019

Started on a Kvantum but decided life's too short. The Steam client can be themed as well so didn't make sense to invest all that time in a Kvantum. Made this qtcurve instead: https://www.pling.com/p/1326297/. - Sep 21 2019
They work but you waste time cleaning up the traced bitmaps. For now I've changed widget style in the look-and-feel to Fusion which matches better than Breeze. - Sep 20 2019

I've added another downloadable file called sidebar.patch. So:
'cd ~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.excalibur/contents/ui' then copy sidebar.patch there.

Run 'patch SideBarItem.qml < sidebar.patch' then restart plasmashell.
