I drag files over the dockbarx icons to raise windows a lot and I was wondering if you could add an option to dockbarx's right click menu, or the properties dialog, to disable launcher adding behavior when not required. - Nov 03 2009

It seems that the problem occurs randomly, depending on how I move the mouse while dragging a file over an icon. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to occur very often, and if I'm don't move the mouse too sloppily/quickly, it doesn't occur at all.

The only way I can force it to happen is by moving the mouse very quickly above the applet and then away.

The residual spaces do disappear if I drag another file around on the applet. - Oct 25 2009

Thanks for that, seems obvious now. Although there does seem to be the side effect of creating a space in the dockbar (as though to add a new launcher) which sometimes remains even after I drop the file on the actual window. This might be a bug? - Oct 22 2009

Is it possible to raise a window by dragging a file over the icon in the dockbar, like you can with the regular window list applet? - Oct 22 2009
