The problem here is that gnome doesn't distinguish icon themes for flags. So it won't look at any sub-folders in your ~/.icons/flags folder. It just uses the images it finds there. This means that if you change flag styles you need to manually copy the new flag images to the same folder: ~/.icons/flags
Hope that helps! - Dec 03 2010

Just 2 problems. First, the theme keeps freezing up my whole UI when I open a menu in the main Ubuntu menu.
Second, the background for the top gnome panel looks messed up. The main background image is several pixels too short for the bar, but the theme prevents me from reducing the hight. The height behind some panel widgets (the Ubuntu menu and the user switcher/logout widget) is better, but I still get a white line across the bottom.
These problems don't seem to be just my machine because I've had them on three different machines now. My setup is:
Ubuntu 9.10 AMD64 (although also happens on 386)
Quad-core with 8G memory (so shouldn't be a resources problem)
GeForce 7900 512M
newest Murrine and Aurora engines from PPA
Thanks for any help. I want to use this great theme! - Jan 25 2010

/home/ian/.themes/AluChrystalGTKTheme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1908: Background image options specified without filename
The theme is enabled, but as soon as I close the terminal with the error message all of the emerald supplied pieces of the window decoration disappear (they don't revert to something else--they're just gone!). Is something missing here? Or am I misunderstanding something? I've never used emerald before.
Thanks - Nov 18 2008
