Hi,
we are still developing it but alas we have procrastinated for "a while". A new version is under development with some new features (genre list, and such) and a hefty bit of refactoring.

In this version we are no longer depending on sqlite3 directly but instead using the sql module of Qt itself. So this problem shouldn't appear in the new version. A quick fix in the meantime for your problem might be to create a symbolic link for /usr/lib/libqt3.so.. - May 11 2011

G'day,
you should build in a subdirectory rather than in the root. Nevertheless, this is a bug we need to fix, so thanks for pointing it out :)

To fix your problem:
1) download the source tarball
2) extract it
3) enter the directory where it was unpacked (i.e. mameexecutor-1.01/)
4) create a directory called "build" for example (i.e. mameexecutor-1.01/build/)
5) cd build
6) cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` ..
(note, the .. is not a typo!)
7) make
8) sudo make install

So the whole crux of the problem was that you attempted to build in mameexecutor-1.01/ rather than in mameexecutor-1.01/build/, I hope I could explain it well enough for you. It's a little strange if you haven't used cmake before.

We really need to get off our arses and write a proper "how to compile" wiki page on our trac soon. If you have any further problems, just ask. - Jul 16 2009

Hi, in the future please respond on the ticket page on http://trac.mindkiller.com

It's a strange crash, but can you please check the ticket page and try the package i made (and respond back with what it outputs in the shell)? - Jul 07 2009

No there isn't any docbook for ME yet :/ And also there is probably a lot to be done about what's this/tooltips. In the general spirit of coders we have neglected that side.

I think it would be better if we discussed this on the forum, so other people here aren't spammed by our "boring" conversations ;) I will look into the docbook/translation stuff as soon as i get some time free. - Jun 14 2009

Thanks for your input. Yes, I think a search where you can specify wildcards yourself would be better. Gives more freedom/control to the user.

About the file dialog you are right. I didn't even think about the fact that it was not used. Will look into changing that. - Jun 14 2009

We will try to keep it up to date as the emulators repository seems to be lagging behind in OpenSUSE. Just wished there was some way of getting notified when a new version is released (other than visiting the website every day) :) Feel free to send me a message if you notice it hasn't been updated. - Jun 14 2009

For those feeling adventurous you can check out SVN trunk to see the feature in action. However I'm unsure how you users want this to work. Should it search for *name* or name* or do you want a fully fledged search like "+foo +bar -baz"? At the moment it just searches for *name* as that seemed the most logical choice.

Also note that the layout for the search tab is only experimental, it will be polished later. - Jun 14 2009

SDLmame 0.132 should shortly be available from webpin (it's building, but their serverfarm is busy). - Jun 12 2009

Cheers for your feedback. We will probably add a search by name feature in the next version, the opensuse packages for 1.01 are building as we speak, but their servers seem a little bogged down at the moment.

Will take a look at building the latest sdlmame for opensuse aswell. - Jun 12 2009

Now there are packages for x86_64/i586 for OpenSUSE 11.0/11.1

Will probably take a while before they show up on webpin, http://packages.opensuse-community.org - Jun 11 2009

Nice little widget this. However, there is one bug that i noticed. After I initially installed it and went into the configuration and added 4 email accounts, it seems only one of them was really activated (the first one). To bypass this behaviour i had to add them one by one, hitting the "OK" button in the main config after each new account i added. Then bring the config up again, add another account, and so on. - Jun 11 2009

I just verified it now, the fix above resolves the issue. It will be in the next updated tarball (and already committed to svn if you want to check it out from there) - Jan 18 2009

I cannot reproduce that here on kde4.2 rc1, OS11.1. Could you possibly open a new ticket on our bugtracker - http://trac.mindkiller.com and attach a backtrace? That way we could investigate a bit more about what's going on. Thanks. - Jan 18 2009

That is strange, it might have something to do with your qt/kde settings (in kde4 everything is started by singleclick by default, both of us don't like that so we always set it to doubleclicked, and hence i guess we didn't notice this yet). In src/mainview.ui, what happens if you change line 420 to:
<signal>itemDoubleClicked(QTreeWidgetItem*,int)</signal>
instead of:
<signal>itemActivated(QTreeWidgetItem*,int)</signal> - Jan 18 2009
