I'm sorry again. Now the link seems to work just fine. Did you change it? - Jan 28 2013
I'm sorry. Let me be more specific. The link here takes me to The link to deviant art from gnome-look is the one that's broken. Deviant art cannot find the gtk theme file with the link you've provided. - Jan 28 2013
Did you mean to include a link? I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean. - Jan 28 2013
Sorry for the double-post. This site is so slow sometimes. - Jan 26 2013
I know this post is old as hell but I really like the theme. I've downloaded the openbox theme but the link to the GTK theme is dead. Any way you can put it back up? - Jan 26 2013

Would it be possible to add a sunbird/iceowl icon? It's the only thing standing between me and my perfect desktop now. Again, thanks for the awesome work. I'll be donating for sure. - Jan 27 2013
Hmmmm. I always thought that the name came from the "Name=" line in the index.theme file, which in this case is AnyColorYouLike, but it doesn't seem to work. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks. Love your theme and hope I can get it working. - Oct 18 2012
What's the proper name of this theme to add to my .gtkrc-2.0.mine? I've tried both AnyColorYouLike and ACYL. Neither one works. Using gnome-appearance-propeties has no effect either. - Oct 18 2012

Also the link at Deviant Art provides me with version 2.3, or at least the file name would lead me to believe, which is what I already have installed. Where can I find version 2.4? - Sep 03 2012
What's the best way to upgrade on a manual install? Can I just replace the icons folder and the binary or do I need to replace everything and start from scratch? - Sep 03 2012
Great news. Thanks for taking the time for the icon request. I love the open source community. - Feb 27 2012
You've obviously put a lot of time into this project so I'll take 30 seconds to make sure you realize how very much I appreciate it. Excellent job and I will be donating. Awesome, awesome work. Possible to add a BloGTK icon? - Feb 23 2012

That would be fantastic. Any progress on this? Sorry, I don't check my KDE-Look account often... Is the source available? If it's a C-derivative I could look at it and mess around with it... - Jun 15 2011
I like this as a dock, but I won't use it until the reflections get fixed. They reflect past the edge of the dock on a non-existent surface and it just looks silly. - Jan 27 2011

OK I realize this is an old project but I really love this plasmoid and want to install it on my Fedora 14 box. Unfortunately I can't figure out what to do with the tarball provided and the rpm I found while searching with Google has a dependency of kdebase4-runtime < 4.2.60. I'm on 4.5.5. I've dl'd the src.rpm to try and reconfigure it but I don't know what I'm doing. Please is there a way for me to install this? It worked fine a few months ago on my Fedora 13 box. - Mar 19 2011

Unfortunately I can't seem to duplicate it. Now when I try to import it it has no effect at all. What should the file be called? i.e. when I extract it from the tarball and I'm using the file chooser to tell it which file to import, no files are present unless I add a ".qtcurve" extension to it or change the file type to '*'. I guess it's unclear where exactly this config file should go. My Aurorae config is located in /home/neil/.kde/share/apps/aurorae/themes Here is a screen of the file chooser listing no results when the file is actually in that folder: - Dec 10 2010
I'm using QTCurve 1.7 on Fedora 14. Even after importing the configure file I still have to adjust qtcurve settings manually to get the transluscency. I've got it almost like your screenshots except I can't get the menubar background to blend properly with the titlebar and the background. The menubar background stays opaque. - Dec 08 2010
OK, so I have installed this all correctly, I think, but I'm still not sure how you have the ENTIRE WINDOW transparent. Which of these configuration files is it that makes the window transparent? - Dec 08 2010

Thank you so much! I've been tormented for the past 6 years, since the time I switched to Linux, looking for a music player that fit all my criteria, number one on that list being the intuitiveness of the interface. I've gone through all the media players available to Linux users and until now they have all been lacking in this area. _THIS_ is exactly what I've been searching for. Great job. - Nov 30 2009

really love this mouse cursor theme. all of a sudden it just diappeared though. where exactly do i need to have it? because it's in both my /usr/share/icons and /home/xxxx/.icons folders but it no longer shows up in the appearance menu. maybe my system is having issues. - Jun 01 2008

what's the best way to use bzr to update. i use 'bzr pull' and 'bzr update' but it doesn't pull anything later than version 161. do i need to keep re-installing?? - Feb 11 2008
i have an external that i only have plugged in sometimes. if i set up the diskusage applet to read from these 5 extra partitions and they are NOT plugged in, diskusage goes crazy and just disappears. also if i give it a directory name to read form that contains any spaces in it, forget about it. does the same thing. even using quotes. - Jan 17 2008

if you don't like it don't download it. no need to flame the man. nopersona is a great contributor to this site. he has produced many fine works, as i have yet to see from any of his critics.

as for calling this particular piece "filth"... i'm not sure where you come from but i fail to see "filth" in this. maybe a little mature in nature but certainly not "filth".

please contribute something worthwhile before bashing someone's creative talent. - Jan 25 2008

is there any way to make this theme play nice with flock? i used the .css you posted for firefox but it doesn't seem to work for flock.
also is there a way to fix the button backgrounds for a vertical panel?
see my screenshot.

i love the theme. very slick. my only problem with themes like this is that i can't set up my desktop the way i want. i don't use 2 horizontal panels like most. i have one horizontal on top and a panel vertically down the left hand side of the screen. this presents a problem when drawing the background. it displays the background image as a tile repeatedly and looks atrocious. - Jan 14 2008

i think this is a great looking theme. it's obvious you put some time into it and that should be appreciated. the fact that windows is proprietary/closed source does not have anything to do with the appearance of vista, it's still a sharp looking OS. this man should be commended, not bashed. open-source is all about the sharing of ideas and being able to create in a non-judgemental forum, not bashing microsoft. - Dec 25 2007
