ok, that's great. well, i generally like your stile now (except for the faded spikes on botom) but i have a suggestion: you might try to let the messages from right not extend entirely to the left and from left not to right - just to see if that looks better.... also, if someone on right says something, maybe put his/her picture right, too? btw i live the effect around the pic's! - Sep 11 2005

nice looking! really cool, man... esp the buttons!

but i do have some sugestions:
1. roud the tabs a bit more, top and bottom, makes it look more smooth.
2. the buttons are great, keep em :D
3. the containers (what's their name, the spaces surrounded by a line) look better in in baghira, rouded and with a darker colour. i think you could do that, too...
4. did i say i love the buttons? keep the subtle colouring, then...
5. round everyting a bit more, like the text-input-fields, and surround them with a colourish glow, like mac os X and baghira do. or sink them and keep the color inside, like with the buttons???
6. the tickboxes look cool, only the 'V' inside them is a bit dull. maybe, like in mac os X, let it come out of the box? and give the box a color if it is ticked?

and yeah, i'd love to see you working on a windec, but please finish the style first :D

i got ksirk-1.2-1.tar.gz (i thought ksirk-1.2-2.tgz is a slackware package, and the -2 denotes normally a newer downstream package, not a newer upstream version. you should name it 1.2.1 or something like that to avoid confusion, if it is supposed to be a newer version) - Aug 11 2005

if you're a noob and using gentoo, you're doing something wrong. anyway, the way this works is as following: you know portage is the tool to install software in gentoo? it has a 'database' with info about the available packages, it is in /usr/portage (have a look there). now, if you want to add things, you COULD put them in /usr/portage, but they get deleted when you do emerge --sync. so you have to use a so called 'overlay'. it can be defined in your make.conf (check the how-to's for how). then add this ebuild to the overlay: i'm not sure where this belongs, but i guess you'll have to make in the overlay folder (lets say /usr/local/portage) a folder with the name kde-misc, and in it kbfx. so the ebuild goes to /usr/local/portage/kde-misc/kbfx. then go to that folder, and do "ebuild kbfxblabla.ebuild digest". then emerge kbfx, should work. - Aug 11 2005
