Hello,

you can remove any of image providers by editing providers/CMakeList.txt There is a section for every provider. Just remove/comment it and rebuild. - Dec 07 2011

Yes, It`s possible. It can be written a wallpaper plugin using current data engines to download photos. I`ve had this idea before but there are some problems:
1) Most of the photos are small ( on a netbook or small notebook it is not a problem ). Only National geographic and NASA`s are big enough for use on 17 inches or bigger displays.
2) A lot of photo has different aspect ratios than those used in displays so in most cases photos will be cropped, scaled or with colored frame. - Mar 07 2010

I`m working on version 1.0 and soon I`ll release a beta :) . It will have many improvements. The major one is that photos will be downloaded through data engines that uses only a standard Plasma API, so these engines will be possible to be written in any language supported by Plasma :) - Aug 10 2009

Yes, I think to add frame and round corners :) I have and some other ideas which I`ll try to implement in 0.3 and 0.4

Hm, I just check if Solid::Networking::status() is Connected. May be for some reason Solid doesn`t return your network status correctly. :(

I think I can improve network detection to fix this problem and will make new release in the coming days. - May 13 2009
