Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by jerrad 241 comments

Worked right out of the gate for me on Feisty Fawn using KDE 3.5.7.

Nice to have a return of a basic feature that should never have been removed by Kubuntu.

You should be able to get it using sudo apt-get install kweather and then use the add applets to add it to the panel - May 21 2007

I went to download and it came out as ASCII text on the screen. Something isn't right.

Forgot to mention that you should turn off Launch feedback in the Control Center when using this cursor set.

Kbfx Startmenu by Chrischaan 5 comments

Thanks Much. Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Been super busy at work and had little time to even read email. Let alone get around to seeing what has been done out there.

Kbfx Startmenu by Chrischaan 5 comments

I like the style and layout. if I had any artistic ability at all i would do this myself.

Would like to see same style with the word "Launch" if you are so inclined.

Tasty Menu

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by mart 499 comments

I like it an it is a huge step in the right direction for KDE. I would like to see something like this in KDE 4 when it comes out. I'm glad you stayed away from an "All Applications" button (XP Style). That seems to draw tremedous heat.

Couple of things to consider. TastyMenu shows up in the task bar when I click on the Menu Button. That really shouldn't happen for a Menu. KBFX didn't do that. Nor sould I see a top menu bar.

A couple more features you may want to add:

Have A top like KBFX does where the user name and selected system pic is displayed. I know its kind of XPish but it is a nice feature. Make it toggable so those who don't want it can shut it off.

Allow TastyMenu (again like KBFX) to change its Launch button. Its nice to be able to select that. And I would have continued using KBFX for that alone if it didn't have a problem launching better.
