What I meant is that Firefox & Chrome have TWO resize handles at the bottom right corner: one from Kwin and one from the apps themselves. All other apps only have the one from Kwin. I'll post screenshots when I have a chance. - Apr 09 2011

Raleigh has the same problem. It seems like apps such as Firefox and Chrome have their own resize handle/grip built-in and don't depend on Kwin decoration resize handle/grip. I'm curious if people who use Oxygen Gtk or QtCurve under Gnome have this problem. - Apr 08 2011

I recompiled and installed this theme from source and it made no difference. - Apr 07 2011

Thanks for quick response. I'm using Firefox 4 and the latest Chrome from google's website on Kubuntu with kde 4.6.2. Someone has filed a bug report on this with Ubuntu.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk2-engines/+bug/746271

The screenshot, also from the bug report:

Not sure if this KDE, Firefox/Chrome, or Oxygen Gtk bug. I didn't notice before. - Apr 07 2011

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but resize grips (bottom right corner) on Firefox and Chrome look odd when using this theme. On Firefox, it's a black triangle, and on Chrome, it's a gray square. Is this bug or is this just because these apps aren't true GTK apps? - Apr 07 2011

Log out/log in, now it works. Why didn't I think of that :) Thank you for pointing that out. - Jan 27 2011

I can confirm this. I recompiled against kde 4.6 and it's still not working. Kwin window manager said Beshadowed effect could not be activated. - Jan 27 2011
I can make changes and save without any problem and there is no problem using QtCurve at all. I just don't know why I have QtCurve 1.6.1 instead of 1.6.4. Do I need to manually remove all files related to 1.6.1 first before installing 1.6.4? - Oct 06 2010
I've compiled and installed the latest version (1.6.4) without any error, but the version number still shows 1.6.1 in the QtCurve setting. So I'm wondering if my install is successful. Did I do somthing wrong? I installed QtCurve ONLY from sourse. - Oct 05 2010
Thanks for the reply. I compiled and installed both Qt and GTK latest versions. These aren't big issues as I've found ways around them. I've set Coloration to Glow for Mouse-over and now scrollbar behaves the same way for both Qt and GTK. As for Highlight color, I've adjusted my KDE color scheme (hover/focus declaration) to match selected background color (since I set "coloration" to "selected background" for "sliders and scrollbars" in qtcurve). So, I guess you can ignore what I've posted. - Jun 06 2010
It seems that highlight color for GTK is taken from kde color scheme (focus declaration and hover declaration), where as, in Qt, it comes from selected background color. - Jun 05 2010
Highlight color looks different for URL box, search box, menu buttons on GTK and Qt apps. In my case, it's red on Qt apps and orange on GTK apps.
Mouse-over on scrollbar also behaves differently for Qt and GTK. On Qt, when "Mouse-over only" is ticked under "Sliders and Scrollbars" AND "Coloration" is set to "No coloration" under "Mouse-over", scrollbar only show highlight when actually clicked on. On GTK, with the same settings, scrollbar showed highlight color as soon as mouse cursor is moved over it. - Jun 05 2010
Thanks for the reply. I don't have gtk-qt-engine installed. I tried starting Firefox the way you've suggested, but it's still the same.

I've also noticed that when I change Appearance to use "Fully rounded" style, Firefox scrollbars would still appear squared ( just the scrollbars, the rest of Firefox still follow whatever Appearance style I choose).

Thank you for this awesome style. I've been using it for long time.

Version 0.55.1 seems to have problem with Firefox scrollbar style, at least on my system. I've changed the scrollbar style to use "Windows" instead of "KDE", but Firefox just won't take the change like other GTK apps. - Oct 26 2007
