If I may make a couple of other suggestions while I have your ear, I'm not a fan of the super-thick treeview headers. I think a ythickness of 1 for them looks much better.
In addition, the recent release of Thunar eliminated the border width on its gtkhpaned, so we can now theme it without it looking stupid. You should enable the fm_view style on widget_classes *Thunar*View* and *Thunar*Pane*, enable fm_sidebar on *ThunarShortcutsView* and *ThunarTreeView*, and enable fm_handle on *Thunar*HPaned.
Enabling fm_statusbar on *ThunarStatusbar* ALMOST looks good... the resize grip doesn't get themed right, though. If you can figure it out, it'd look great, but you'd also want to change the scrollbar trough to @base_color and I was never able to figure out how to fine-tune scrollbar trough colors. Maybe you'd have better luck. :) - Jan 04 2013

It turns out that by setting the xfconf property /Gtk/ColorScheme in channel xsettings, you can define a color scheme. I just modified the zcsscommon script to support this, and it worked perfectly! The only kink is that the window theme must be switched to and from zoncolor for the change to take effect. - Jan 03 2013

Now, if I may offer some advice. Perhaps to enable color scheme support for XFCE, you could generate a gtk theme and hardcode its colors. XFCE's lack of color scheme support is irritating to be sure, but this should work around it. - Jan 02 2013

That said, there's one little niggling detail that's bothering me; the ythickness of popup menus is inconsistent between GTK2 and GTK3. GTK3 has no ythickness; and GTK2 appears to have about 3. Please make this consistent? The rest of the theme's consistency is absolutely *stelllar.* - May 03 2012

When I called out the same thing on Faenza-Variants, there was no response at all nor any effort to correct it. I would hope you would go the extra mile here to correct this.
Regardless, it's a nice start, and since I don't have a 24px panel anymore, I can go on using it. - Apr 20 2011

When a window is given the skip taskbar hint after its creation, it is not removed from the dockbar. I don't think this is a problem for Compiz, but for any other window manager in combination with Devil's Pie, it doesn't work as expected. - Aug 19 2010
Never mind my prior weather icon request; the xfce weather applet isn't themeable, and as a result, I didn't know you already did them. So I'm using gnome's in an xfapplet instead. - Aug 14 2010
-Application icons: Quod Libet, Ex Falso, MonoDevelop, Glade, Mirage, Pinta, AbiWord, Gnumeric, Orage, GJiten, Xfce Notes Plugin
-Panel icons: Pidgin, Xfce Power Manager Xfce Volume Manager, weather icons. You can actually theme Pidgin's tray icons now, like this: http://bit.ly/9N4Ya0
-Emblems. I make extensive use of emblems 'cos I don't know what the right way to get those spiffy folder icons is on XFCE. :P If you could get all the ones that Gnome-Colors has, that'd be great.
-Menu icons for dark menus, perhaps? Configurable in the install script? Otherwise, I can probably just invert them with imagemagick.
So, yeah. Sorry for the big request list. Good job on such a great theme! :D - Aug 12 2010
Anyways, as for what you're trying to ask. Do you want the panels to match your window decorations? I could make a module for that pretty easily for the next release. - Aug 04 2010
dark_bg_color and dark_fg_color control what colors the dark parts of the theme are. The frame_color and inactive_frame_color ones are specific to Chrome.
So. When you ask about changing the color of the gnome panel according to the skin's color... which color are you talking about? If you disable the dark panel module, it will be the bg_color. If you want the color of the panel to be the selected_bg_color, that's not supported yet. But assuming you're not using any dark widgets in your customized theme, you can just change the dark colors to whatever you want to use and turn on the dark panel module. - Aug 04 2010
I don't know if I'm just in a highly irritated mood or what, but I feel the need to make this perfectly clear, both to you and to everyone:
Murrine's development version has not been in SVN for MONTHS! It moved to GIT, months ago!
Install from git and try again, please. - May 31 2010
The cellstyle option used in theme-default.rc was added on 3/25, two days after the revision you have. But it doesn't actually seem to do anything, so I've commented it out and re-uploaded it. You don't actually need to re-download it, just go to theme-default.rc in the Flow-Common folder and comment out cellstyle = 0 on line 142. - May 15 2010
Here's what I noticed in your post. You said you got murrine from svn. Murrine was moved to a git repository some time ago. You can probably still get the svn version, but it's waaaay behind. Make sure you're using the git version instead of the svn version. - May 14 2010
I didn't know the appearance properties dialog would do that. I'll definitely modify the instructions to specify that.
To make the panel menu items bigger, you can change the panel-menu size in the GtkIconSizes for the theme you're using. I think that'll work.
Thank you very much! :) - May 14 2010
