Whenever I change the titlebar font size I get strange artifacts in the upper left and right corners of the window, where the titlebar meets the window border. I'm using the 0.5 metacity theme in addition to the GTK+ theme.

This is a wonderful window decoration; I think it should become part of the KDE default distribution.

My only suggestion is that you give an option so that the shadowed text on active and inactive title bars is independent (e.g., "Use shadowed text on active titlebar", "Use shadowed text on inactive titlebar"). The way the inactive titlebar is set up it makes the text sort of blurry, which I realize I can change by changing the text color. This would make the contrast more obvious, though. - Aug 05 2003

I'd like to see both a Kile and VMWare icon. Right now they're the only two things on my desktop that don't have proper icons. None of the other icon sets I know even have a Kile icon, which is a shame since it's a very nice LaTeX source editor.

Great job with the icons, too. The fact that I'm using it should say enough, but really, this is one of the few great icon sets. Thanks for bringing it to KDE. - Jul 18 2003

That may or may not be the case, but my biggest complaint is the big ugly "K" in the wallpaper.

Plastering Crystal-style Ks or penguins doesn't magically make a good wallpaper, and in general, I won't use or like one that juxtaposes them with completely different material (e.g., The Matdix). I do like some of the KDE-themed wallpapers that come with KDE because they're tastefully done and show some sense of artistic unity. This wallpaper has neither. - May 18 2003

If I'm using Windows, I don't want wallpapers that have "Windows Version Foo" all over my desktop. I want something that is nice to look at, something that suits my mood. Rarely does staring at "KDE" suit my mood.

It's not that I really like this wallpaper (oh, look, T&A *yawn*) anyhow, but not all wallpapers need to be explicitly related to KDE. - Dec 10 2002

To be frank, they're not much compared to the "great" icon sets like Crystal, Noia, et. al, but it's a very promising start.
Not that I should be one to talk, I guess, since I don't have the time or ability to do this. Anyhow, the more people we have putting thought into good, solid icon sets the better.

I'd like to preface this by saying that I love these icons. They are clean and very professional in appearance.
That said, I wouldn't mind more icons for non-KDE applications. There are already icons for things like the Gimp and Acrobat Reader, but other common applications like Gaim, XChat, or games like Quake III would be nice, too.
Thanks again for making this beautiful icon set.
