Tango-Generator 2

Don't think so.

I think i didn't have Unicode=True set in my main gentoo conf from the beginning, but i doubt that that's the reason.

See Stormx's post...it seems some oldish packages can slip through the package management with ISO encoding.

Ok, found it...

...it was gperiodic.desktop and i'm pretty sure it was untouched from portage.

It was saved in ISO-8859-15.

Hei,

thanks for that hint.

I'm on gentoo, too, but i manually modified some stuff in there, so i'll look into it and report back.

... I'm getting the following error.

Exception in thread Thread-1:

File "tango-generator.py", line 275, in run

if new_file_contents != new_file_contents.replace(old,new):
UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 278-281: invalid data

It's on gentoo and so far i don't have a clue what it's trying to tell me.

Any idea?

Besides that, thanks for the great work.

Another thing...on the applications page, a "select all possible" button would be handy.

Hei cimi,

thanks from here as well for your great work. Was using it since 0.2x and very happy to see the gradients coming in 0.50.

One major beautification i would like to see is a highlighted inner outline, like see here:

Tangofied inkscape icons set

Hei,

this is great work. Thanks.

Though:
Some of the recent changes are quite bad choices:
- the rotate and flip icons were much more expressive before, when they took the shape from the original ones
- same for the stacking icons
(Tango uses arrows for forward/back, undo/redo etc. etc. ... so many arrows...they just get undescriptive.)
- some icons in the xml and text dialog are broken (black), probably missing background?
- round cap and square cap stroke icons lack the inner light outline
- the stroke paint and stroke style icons are suboptimal, they look more like tools than properties
- the zoom icons suck (sorry) - they are hardly distinguishable and not based on the original tango zoom icons
- color distinction would be good for the tool icons - too much grey

This is all meant as constructive criticism...please keep on improving the set. It's good work. I especially love the path node and bezier curve icons here. - Mar 21 2007

Still work in progress, but the idea is to give it a bit of an edgy look with a color scheme that uses black, red and blue accentuations.

And it's more based on the IBM ThinkPad design. - Dec 01 2006
