I don't know how legal it is for the many,many clones of Vista and OS X to license under the GPL,but I am not going to falsely give the idea that Uplink is a free GPL game...

The game Uplink and the various intellectual properties thereof are not GPLed.

People would complain if I licensed it as GPL anyway and say,are you sure it's free...well,I'm not sure and therefore will not license it under GPL.

Hope this made sense to you,just my thoughts on the subject of licensing...

Uplink is a trademark of Introversion Software.

You can download it and use it as much as you like...

And hack it into better shape if need be ;)

Yeah,the links are okay...you have to right click on the picture and click "save to disk" or "save image as".

You may not have splash screen activated in your menu.
1.Right click on the menu and click on "Edit Menus"
2.You'll probably need to minimise the "Applications" menu by clicking the arrow on the left of it.
3.Click on preferences scroll down until you see splash screen check the box next to it.
4.Thats it!

Just thought I would let people know how to install splash screens.

1. Using your package manager install gnome-splashscreen-manager. Now put the splashscreen image in to /home/yourusername/.gnome ( well you can put it anywhere really but I put it there so I don't accidentally delete the image) Then go to System > Preferences > Splash Screen. Click Install and then select your image file (Wherever you put it) then select the image and click activate. Now logout and log back in again to see your lovely new splashscreen.

Thanks for that, I was beginning to think it wasn't that great.
For me (having just migrated from windows)the gimp seems very complex.
I still cant figure out how to change the color of the brush :).
Your Emerald theme mod looks pretty good.
My computer sucks so it can't run beryl but it looks great on my dad's computer.
