Remove the liberty theme and then reset the screenlet configuration. This should get the clock to at least start.

I got it to work.

What I had to do was extract the svg's from the theme pack and put them into an existing theme (cairo-clock) folder replacing it's contents.

Then I started the clock and selected the cairo-clock theme and voila.

When I select this theme, my clock disappears also.

Status: Screenlet now starts but says Pidgin not running.

Update:

My setup has changed.
When I first installed the screenlet, it was 0.2.2. I had pidgin 2.4.0.
I am now running pidgin 2.4.1
Since the screenlet was updated to 3, It does not do anything. Manager confirms that the screenlet IS running. but nothing pops up on the desktop now. Bad to worse. - Apr 11 2008

PidginScreenlet

This screenlet launches with an error saying "screenlet may not be working correctly, Try re-installing the screenlet" It loads shortly after that error message but says pidgin not running. I then restart pidgin and the screenlet still fails to detect pidgin running.

I am running pidgin 2.4.0 with screenlets 0.14 on ubuntu gutsy, no compiz or beryl and all other screenlets work.
